COURT OF APPEALS AFFIRMS TRIAL COURT DECISION

As you are probably aware, the Tennessee Court of Civil Appeals affirmed the trial court’s decision in the case of State of Tennessee vs. HRC Medical Centers. The opinion was released Friday, August 23. The judgment in the amount of $18,141,750.00 against HRC and some of its principals stands.

This is a good outcome for former customers of HRC. It has taken seven years for the case to progress this far.

HRC has 60 days from the date of the decision in which to file an appeal with the Tennessee Supreme Court. Although it is not a certainty, the Court of Appeals’ decision will probably be appealed and the case will probably go into its eighth year.

We have posted the Court of Appeals’ decision under the “Pleadings” heading on this website.

Immediately below this statement is a News Channel 5 article about the Court of Appeals’ opinion.

For Patients and Creditors of BioLife Cycle Medical Centers
and
Legacy Medical Centers

A settlement has been reached between the Attorney General of the State of Tennessee and BioLife Cycle and Legacy. This has resulted in a court approved transfer of all of the BioLife operated clinics outside the State of Tennessee to BioLife.

The Receiver will no longer respond to inquiries (Proofs of Claim) from patients or creditors of the clinics acquired by BioLife.
Those clinics are:

  1. Baltimore, MD
  2. Charlotte, NC
  3. Detroit, MI
  4. Grand Rapids, MI
  5. Greensboro, NC
  6. Greenville, SC
  7. Lexington, KY
  8. Raleigh, NC

BioLife is currently making every effort to secure client records and reconcile all services and accounts regarding the clinics it has acquired. Though it may not respond immediately due to the pressing need to take charge of the records of the clinics, BioLife will reply to all inquiries made to the following e-mail:
